Set over a twenty-year period, it portrays the lives of a bereaved mother, the paedophile who attacked her daughter, and a neuroscientist studying the paedophile’s brain. The set was an irregularly shaped low stage, differently configured according to venue, low under-floor lighting, and projected slide images. The floor design reproduced laser-imaging of brain cells, and the slides were also often of brain scans, or photographs of cells, as well as images evocative of the personal memories of the characters.
